Our Tiny house collection has been designed to promote spaciousness while still offering thoughtful functionality to everyday needs. The simplicity of the floor plans allow for a compact but functional space, affording places to dwell.

Specs

These specifications apply to our full tiny house collection

Materials

All of our tiny houses are built on NZ made, locally manufactured galvanised trailers and are equipped with a 3.5T braking system. These trailers come with a three year WOF and one year registration.

All plumbing, gas fitting and electrical work is completed by a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) and come with gas and electrical certificates.

Our tiny houses are built on locally manufactured light rolled steel framing.

Externally, we offer the option of shiplap Japanese Cedar or NZ Colour Steel cladding with colour options.

Care has been taken to connect the inhabitant to the surrounding landscape via large picture frame windows, trifold or French doors which open to effectively remove a wall for indoor/outdoor flow. All joinery is locally manufactured by Altherm.

Double glazing is used throughout.

The mezzanine features a large Velux roof window. This operable skylight has an insect screen and remote control block out blinds. These offer an effective means of ventilation.

We use NZ made sheep wool insulation with a R2.4. rating

Interior lining and cabinetry are made using Birch plywood.

Flooring is sustainably sourced, PEFC certified European Oak by Forte.

The exposed mezzanine joists are made of American Cedar.

Heating

Heating is providing by either a small wood burner or a low energy electric wall panel.

Electrical

Our tiny house homes use low energy dimmable 12v Led downlights. The PDL ICONIC range is used for electrical fittings. We install built in USB charging ports both in the mezzanine and the lounge.

Electricity is supplied by either a 16Amp caravan plug or if preferred, a solar system can be utilised.

Gas

A Rinnai gas califont supplies hot water. Gas is also used for cooking. There is an option of a double or four hob burner. An optional gas oven/grill/hob unit is available.

Water

Our custom design hidden guttering and downpipes system allows for rain water collection. However, with a small roof surface area for collection, we recommend a further source of water on site. A 20mm fitting is connected for water supply.

Appliances

Kitchen appliances include a 120Ltr under bench fridge or for our large kitchen plan, a 427Ltr Samsung energy-efficient digital Inverter fridge is supplied. A range hood is also fitted above the gas cooktop.

The bathroom offers a Nature’s Head composting toilet. This is fitted with a 12V silent fan. A switchable extracting fan is also installed.
