This design was created to fit within the ‘Single-storey detached buildings not exceeding 30 sqm in floor area exemption rule’. This means that, you DO NOT require a building consent.

This space can be fitted to suit your needs, be it a creative studio, office or spacious sleep-out.

If you prefer this to be self-contained, a kitchen and bathroom can be added. This would then follow the consenting process to create a beautiful compact home.

This design was created to provide a compact 35sqm home where space is at a premium. It can be consented as a secondary dwelling and fit within a small backyard to accommodate for a family member, full time rental or as an AirBnB accomodation to generate a supplementary income.
